Dr. McColl holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from McGill University (accredited by both Canadian Psychological Association, American Psychological Association and is one of 14 programs (the only in Canada) with the prestigious PCSAS accreditation). She also has a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) from Queen’s University (First Class Honours) and a Master’s of Science in Psychology from Dalhousie University.

Dr. McColl completed her clinical internship in neuropsychology at the Montreal Neurological Institute and has training in child clinical psychology and neuropsychology from the Montreal Children’s Hospital (Neurotrauma Clinic, Psychology Department, Developmental Progress Clinic, Behavioural Pediatrics Group).

She also has doctoral training with adolescents and adults at the Jewish General Hospital (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Clinic, Herzl Family Practice Centre, and the Behavioural Medicine Chronic Pain Clinic) and has outpatient experience from the Douglas Institute, Outpatient Psychiatry.

Dr. McColl’s research experience includes migraine headaches, neurovisual disorders, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), cognitive effects of concussions, cognitive testing in clinical trials, applied research on the effects of lighting on health, body image in HIV, and women’s sexual disorders. She has presented at National and International conferences in Canada, USA, and Europe. She has been a consultant to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies and worked with key-opinion and science leaders across Canada, US and Europe.

Dr. McColl has taught psychology and research methods courses and given lectures at McGill University, Dalhousie University, University of Toronto, and is an instructor at Vanier College.
